HOPE von Na Hong-jin ("The Wailing", "The Yellow Sea", "The Chaser") ... "Wildly entertaining... Even in its ostensibly quieter moments, HOPE is a riot... And despite the sheer size, it maintains a narrow focus on a small ensemble, each determined character more incompetent than the last." Little White Lies
ab 8. Oktober
THE KILLER ... Zwei fantastische Wiederaufführungen von Lieblings-Filmverleih "Rapid Eye Movies" ... -jetzt- HARD BOILED (1992) und -ab 29.10.- THE KILLER (1989) von Hongkong-Regisseur John Woo! Zwei der bedeutendsten und allerallerbesten Actionfilme ever! Der absolute Kino-Höhepunkt 2026!
ab 29. Oktober
SACRIFICE ... der neue Film von Romain Gavras (of "The World is Yours" & Athena" fame!) ... "SACRIFICE features the same full-tilt pacing as his last feature, "Athena". And it's likely the timeliest, most energetic satire you'll see this year. Sending up everything from desperate, phony celebrity activists, Stockholm syndrome, our obsession with wealth and fame, and our era's insistence on embracing the most crackpot beliefs regardless of politics." Robyn Citizen, Toronto International Film Festival 2025
ab 15. Oktober
Halloween Double Feature #01! ... THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (1985, Dan O’Bannon)
Sa 31.10. um 21.30 Uhr
Die Filmreihe Cinemania Kalk zeigt den absoluten Filmklassiker BELLE DE JOUR (1967) von Luis Buñuel ... "Catherine Deneuve's porcelain perfection hides a cracked interior in one of the actress’s most iconic roles: Séverine, a Paris housewife who begins secretly spending her afternoon hours working in a bordello. This surreal and erotic late-sixties daydream from provocateur for the ages Luis Buñuel is an examination of desire and fetishistic pleasure (its characters' and its viewers'), as well as a gently absurdist take on contemporary social mores and class divisions. Fantasy and reality commingle in the unforgettable burst of cinematic transgression that is BELLE DE JOUR." The Beacon Cinema
Mi 14.10. um 17.00 Uhr
Halloween Double Feature #02! ... SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE II (1987, Deborah Brock)
