Deepening this complicated and personal world, Schoenbrun's most recent film, TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA, likens fan obsession to sexual awakening in a very queer, gory, and silly way. Cosmically connecting the "Sleepaway Camp" franchise to "Portrait of a Lady on Fire", Schoenbrun uses the gore and blood of slashers to aid in self discovery through kink and play.
