Zum Austesten der eigenen Grenzen, was noch machbar und erduldbar ist, eignet sich EX DRUMMER wie kein anderer Film dieses Jahr. Auf filmischer Ebene ist die visuelle Brillanz und Sicherheit mit der Koen Mortier seinen Debütfilm vorstellt, schlicht atemberaubend: von der rückwärts gedrehten Einführungssequenz bis zum kopfüber gefilmten Frauenschläger-Monolog gibt es viele Szenen in EX DRUMMER, die man so noch nie gesehen hatte."
